Any type of yoga class you can imagine can work because there is a type of yoga for everybody. I specialize in the different. The reason for that is that it may get people doing yoga who would never have tried it before.  It can also add an element of play or fun, which we all need a little more in our lives or it can add an education piece so it becomes a practical means to learning.   Yoga is comprehensive and the core components of yoga can be incorporated into many variations.  Remember, the physical postures or poses are only one eighth of yoga.  We can expand to learn about positive ways to live our lives with self care and respect for ourselves and others.  We can learn to be more present or mindful through movement and breath practice.  We can find ways that work for us to bring meditation into our lives so that we can become more focuses, calm, productive, resilient and cope better with stress.  In my classes, I focus on the breath, body alignment and letting go.  My classes are also very safety because I focus heavily on safety, anatomy and providing options for all levels.  With my years of experience and the addition of trauma-sensitive yoga training, every class is for every person.

My current schedule includes Yoga for Strength at 12:10.  On Tuesdays and Thursdays this class will have a heavier focus on core strength.  On Fridays it will be a little less intense and be 30 min of yoga that focuses on building strength and 15 min deeper stretch and meditation/mindfulness) , All Levels Yoga and Gentle Yoga (30 min All Levels format and 30 min gentle poses to stretch and find relaxation).

Bootcamp and Group Fitness

There is no greater motivation than exercising amongst friends. Group classes can bring a sense of camaraderie in that “we are in this together”! Research has shown that finding a friend to exercise with not only keeps us accountable but also ensures we stick with it.

Bootcamp is no longer than 30 minutes.  If provides a full body workout including cardio, strength and flexibility.  My Bootcamps are all levels so that anyone can do them.  I offer lots of options to push yourself and be successful while allowing for growth and achievable goals.

Group Fitness is a class that allows a group of people with common fitness interests to come together, get a workout and have some fun.  The added benefit of working in a group is support, accountability, encouragement and maybe even a little competition.   Classes vary in length and can range anywhere from 10 minutes to 90 minutes depending on the type of class.

Lectures/Speaking Engagements/Information Sessions

A great way to share information is to a group.  Any of the topics related to may workshops, classes or coaching can be presented in a lecture, speaking event or information session.  This format provides the audience with information about a certain topic to educate, motivate or create new ideas or practices.

Workshops and Special Classes

Rest and Relax Yoga – I will be offering a “Rest and Relax Yoga” class on Sunday February 21st at 8:15pm for 75 minutes.  Light some candles, get some comfy clothes on, grab some blankets and pillows along with your yoga mat and maybe a mug of tea and get ready to rest and relax.  This will be a slow flow class where we hold the poses a little longer using some props to get cozy.  And the best part is, you don’t have to go out in the cold after class; you can just roll right into bed! This class will be $15.  There will be a 10-12 minute guided body relaxing meditation at the end.  Ahhhh…good night! 

Power Lunch –  ​This class will be on Wednesdays from 12:15-12:45pm.  It will have a yoga base but will be infused with various styles of more intense work for the entire body.  The premise is that a shorter duration, more intense workout will have greater cardio and strength effects that last longer.  The fusion with yoga will create space to bring the heart rate down between periods of intense work and allow for mindful stretching of the muscles we are working.  You will have the option to use hand weights or kettlebells of 1-5 lbs for some of the movements.  

This class will be 30 minutes with 2-3 bursts of more intense work.  These “bursts” will repeat 2-8 times as a set and last from 10 to 60 seconds depending on the work phase followed by short periods of rest.  These bursts are derived from my Yoga Shred training, HIIT style workouts and what are now called “micro-workouts”. This provides you with more ‘bang for your buck’ in your workouts.  Science has shown that this style of workout would be all you need in a 24-48 hour period supplemented with moving your body more often (i.e. sitting less/standing more) and making nourishing eating choices. 

This class is not recommended for beginners without getting pre-approval from a medical practitioner.  Cost is $10 per class.
